Bone Defense Progress: Pass The Malaisinol
November 14, 2009
Vermont. You would imagine these bearded hobbits to play all over whenever they could and then it came to mind that maybe I’m at fault. Maybe the thought of over an hour of improv whilst I read my novel may sound like standing in line on their list of fun jams.
Oh well
Bumbaaklaat indeed.
THE BONE DEFENSE FILM
November 13, 2009
As a matter of bloated narcissism the entirety of the reading tour will be digtally filmed and audio recorded with the sincere intent of the archivism that may entail if we get to the Tails.

There is a room…non-descript and of no remarkable size…
In a circle are stations for each musician who will back up the telling of MOXIEVILLE as a camera goes around similar to a lawn sprinkler and captures Bone Defense….

Embryonic
The Flaming Lips (2009)
The latter part of the aughts has been less than exciting than waiting at the DMV for prog heads. Kept awake by The Mars Volta and sustained by nostalgia filled box sets and re-issues from Pink Floyd to Can. Than comes this splendor in the grass.
Embryonic is the most recent offering by these gnomes from Oklahoma. The Flaming Lips have maintained a marginal bumping distance from the mainstream, yet they may just enter it with their most musically experimental work since the John Cage project Zaireeka.
I suspect I am not alone in noticing the inclusion of krautrock in the pop language. But boy it’s still good to hear it done so well.
